VC-20 GUIClient

VC-20 GUIClient is an additional feature and support mechanism for both end-users and field service

personnel. With the duplicators that do not have any operation side LEDs such as model C261, there is

no way for VC20PrinterServer to communicate the duplicator’s condition to the operator, in this case VC-

20 GUIClient provides a superior mechanism for correctly displaying the duplicator condition to the

operator or service personnel. VC-20 GUIClient also provides two-way stream of communication

between the operator and the duplicator, this allows VC-20 GUIClient to display warning message when

paper size mismatch occurs, the operator can then instruct VC-20 GUIClient to continue making a master

when the size mismatch is corrected. This reduces wasted masters and paper. VC-20 GUIClient provides

a graphical view of the duplicator status, VC-20 and Job. VC-20 GUIClient also provides a mechanism to

change some of the default operating conditions of VC-20PrinterServer. Version information for both VC-

20 GUIClient and VC20PrinterServer can be viewed from VC-20 GUIClient.

Status

1. Information and Settings

Information & settings can be made from the VC-20

GUIClient drop down menu. To access the menu, left click

on the VC-20 GUIClient icon located on the top corner of

the VC-20 GUIClient title bar or right click on the GUIClient

title bar.

2. VC-20 GUIClient Connection Status

The green icon (right) displayed when VC-20 GUIClient is

connected to VC20PrinterServer.

3. VC-20 PCB Status

The Red Cross (left) appears when VC20PrinterServer cannot configure VC-20 PCB. The green check

mark shows when it successfully configured VC-20 PCB.
